Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Preppy Wallpapers is a wallpaper browsing app. We collect as little data as possible. You do not need an account, and we do not run a custom backend.

2. Local data

Favorites and appearance preferences are stored on your device only (a JSON file in the app’s Documents folder, and standard iOS preferences). This information is not uploaded to us.

3. Photos

When you tap Save, the app requests add-only access to your Photo Library so it can write the wallpaper you chose. We do not read your existing photos.

4. Network

The app fetches the wallpaper catalog and images over HTTPS from a content delivery network.

The app includes a bundled wallpaper catalog so category and wallpaper information can still be shown when the network is unavailable. Wallpaper images are downloaded from the internet when available. Previously viewed images may be cached by your device, but a full offline experience is not guaranteed.

5. Advertising

Preppy Wallpapers shows third-party ads from Google AdMob. Google and its partners may collect device and usage information to provide, measure, and personalize ads, including advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, and interaction data. 6. Tracking

On first launch we ask for App Tracking Transparency permission. You can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Tracking. If you decline, ads may still appear, but they are less personalized.

7. Analytics

We do not use first-party analytics SDKs. We do not operate our own analytics service.

8. Data retention

We do not operate servers that store your personal account data, because Preppy Wallpapers does not require an account.

Information stored on your device, such as favorites and appearance preferences, remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app.

Third-party advertising partners, including Google AdMob, may retain data they collect according to their own policies. We do not control how long those partners keep information.

9. Data deletion

You can delete local app data at any time by:

• clearing favorites in the app,
• clearing the image cache in Settings, or
• deleting the app from your device.

Deleting the app removes favorites and preferences stored on that device. Saved wallpapers in your Photos library are not removed unless you delete them yourself.

For data collected by Google or other ad partners, you will need to follow their privacy tools and account settings. We cannot delete third-party data on your behalf.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information.

Because we do not operate user accounts or store personal data on our own servers, most information is controlled on your device. You can manage tracking and ad personalization through iOS Settings → Privacy & Tracking, and through the privacy settings offered by Google and its ad partners.

11. Children’s privacy

Preppy Wallpapers is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through third-party ads, contact us and we will help you take appropriate steps.
